Happy Halloween!

Halloween fever has been buzzing around  Bogor and hit Jalan Guntur hard last night! Ghouls and witches were flying hither and yon and I even spied the cutest ninja turtle I've ever seen. And what's more, he made his own costume. I was so proud of how Zig Zig diligently worked on his turtle back over the last week - congrats you looked amazing.

I loved playing hammer-hammer at nonno Giuseppe's when I was a kid and now Cookie has got a taste for it too!

Our Little Fish

Zig zig has done it! He can now swim independently. We're so proud of you for working hard to become your fears. Here's to a long life of enjoyment in the water.

Do fish have ears?

Zig Zig blows us away with some of his perceptive questions at times and this morning was one of them. He asked us at the breakfast table is fish had ears?

Of course, none of us knew the answer!

So we checked the oracle of our day and it turns out that the answer is "yes" and "no". They don't have ears on the outside as we know it, but they have internal sensors that act like ears. They can't hear that well but they sense vibration etc. Well now we all know...thanks Zig xo

Slip, slop, slap! But not for Peter Pan!

Papa dropped in at school today to do a presentation on Palm Oil for the older kids and out the corner of his eye, he spied a darling little Peter Pan trying to head out onto the sports field with his hat on...except it wasn't  his sports hat...it was his Peter Pan hat, feathers and all!! Ms Edna was trying to patiently explain to Ziggy and negotiate with him so that he had would don his sports hat instead....but he took a little convincing ;-) Poor Ziggy had exquisitely prepared and almost executed his plan, only to be foiled at the last minute by a meddling, well meaning teacher. 10 points for trying dear little man xox
